Members of the North Texas Classic Thunderbird Club ( N.T.C.T.C. ),
who lived in the Dallas area. To name a few Fred Goulden, Mike Greer, Don Hyde ( Fordcraft ),
and Walt Nuckles decided at the Classic Thunderbird Club International ( C.T.C.I.) Palm Springs 1972
Convention that the time had come to organize a Dallas Thunderbird group. The first official meeting
was held on September 14th, 1972, and 16 cars owners attended. In February, 1973, notification
of C.T.C.I.‘s approval for Big ‘D‘ Little Birds charter was received by 32 members. June, 1973 saw
the acceptance of the charter Chapter No. 46 of the C.T.C.I. known as the Big ‘D’ Little Birds, at
the St. Louis, Missouri Regional Convention by 9 of our members. Since that beginning, the club
has grown to more than over 100 family memberships and still growing.
