How we Got Started !

Members of the North Texas Classic Thunderbird Club ( N.T.C.T.C. ),
who lived in the Dallas area. To name a few Fred Goulden, Mike Greer, Don Hyde ( Fordcraft ),
and Walt Nuckles decided at the Classic Thunderbird Club International ( C.T.C.I.) Palm Springs 1972
Convention that the time had come to organize a Dallas Thunderbird group. The first official meeting
was held on September 14th, 1972, and 16 cars owners attended. In February, 1973, notification
of C.T.C.I.s approval for Big D Little Birds charter was received by 32 members. June, 1973 saw
the acceptance of the charter Chapter No. 46 of the C.T.C.I. known as the Big D Little Birds, at
the St. Louis, Missouri Regional Convention by 9 of our members. Since that beginning, the club
has grown to more than over 100 family memberships and still growing.
